The three "new" ones are actually old ones, back by popular demand: 'My Favorite One' is a duet with Matty Charles recorded by Chris Bonner; the rest were recorded by Chad Clark at Inner Ear ('Grist for the Mill' and 'Cover Me with Your Darkness' played by Chris Bonner, Mark Doran, Cynthia Hopkins, and Philippa Thompson) and by Jim Dawson ('Recurring Dreams' played by Cynthia Hopkins).

The four "newer" ones are songs from a live show at Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, MA (Friday June 8th, 2007); mixed and recorded by the wondrous Peter Lindstrom, and played by Cynthia Hopkins (accordion and guitar), Kristin Mueller (drums), Josh Stark (bass), Philippa Thompson (violin), and Karen Waltuch (viola).

The four "least new" ones are recordings made by Jim Dawson at the Wexner Center for the Arts in April 2006, at a rehearsal; played by the same musicians as the newest songs.

Both the "newer" and the "least new" songs are intended for the album-in-progress LOVE is gonna be my weapon and YOU are gonna be my first victim. Someday, we hope to make this album. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy these live club and rehearsal takes.

And finally, the two "old" ones are from a concert version of the show 'Must Don't Whip 'Um', performed on December 7th 2005 at St. Ann's Warehouse, mixed live by Jim Dawson and recorded by Iver Findlay and Joey Truman. The concert was performed by the musicians listed above, with Jim Findlay (baritone), Curtis Hasselbring (trombone), Ben Holmes (trumpet), Margot Kingon (eukelele and trumpet), Susan Oetgen (vocals), and Jeff Sugg (trumpet). These songs are intended for the album-in-progress MUST DON'T WHIP 'UM. This album is currently in progress, and is intended for release in March 2008.
